How to Create Static Pages in Blogger (New Blogger Interface)

When I'm designing someone's blog, one of the first things I do is I ask for all of the links to the pages they want in their navigation menu. Some clients of mine don't know that they can create these pages themselves, and that it is really easy! So here is a tutorial on how to create pages, and how to get those links to me so that I can customize your navigation bar:

Step 1: Login to your Blogger Dashboard.

Step 2: Click the drop down selection next to your blog, then select "Pages". It will look like this:

Step 3: You'll be taken to a page within your dashboard where you will see a drop down option of "New Page" at the top. Select that option, and then select "Blank Page". It will look like this:

Step 4: Compose your page just like you would a blog post. When you are finished ...

Step 5: To the right of your screen, you will see a drop down menu saying "Page Settings". Underneath that you'll see something that says "Options". Click on this option. Make sure you select "Don't Allow" under reader comments. When you've finished that, select "Done". It will look like this:

Step 6: When you are finished, publish the page. It's the orange button next to the title of your page. Congratulations! You've created a page.

If you're still having problems, I'd recommend watching this video:

Now, if you are a client of mine, and I've asked you to send me the links to your pages, you'll want to make sure that after you publish your page, you select "View". That will take you to the page you just created.

Copy and paste the URL from your browser's address field, and put it in an email to me.

For example, my About page is located at That's all the information I'll need to customize your navigation bar!
